Saturday 6th - Heritage Art Exhibition Opening Night.

Come along to the opening of our exhibition of local artists and their expressions of our heritage with images of by gone days. The doors open at 6.00 and the exhibition will open at 7.00pm. The admission is free and there will be nibbles and Crane Wines will be available in the early part of the evening. After the opening Café Nouveau will be open for you to get coffee and choose from a wonderful selection of cakes. There will also be the occasion of the release of images by Garry Eyre relating to the early Taabinga Village. These will be available as prints and cards.

 

Sunday 7th – Fathers Day.

 Sunday is always a popular day at the village because of the delicious brunches available starting at 9.00am. This Sunday being Fathers Day would be the perfect time to take advantage of Café Nouveau’s special lunch time menu just for this occasion. Book at the Café to avoid disappointment, 41636966.

At 1pm the ‘Spring is Sprung’ garden sculpture exhibition will be opened in the gardens and the Taabinga Village Art Group meet to socially paint. 4pm will be the gathering time for Trading Card Sessions where artists trade 3.5’ x 2.5’ works of original art.

 

Wednesday 10th – Our 3rd Birthday.

This Wednesday marks our 3rd Birthday and to celebrate the occasion the Café will be running specials all day for you to share the event with us. The studios within the village are also offering specials on the artworks and products available.

 

Saturday 13th – Makers, Bakers and Growers Market Day.

2nd Saturday of the month brings about the ‘Makers, Bakers and Growers Market Day’ which has become a regular event for many people. On this occasion we have something extra. We are hosting a number of demonstrators of traditional art forms including pottery, leather work, wood block printing and artists galore. There will be static displays of antique cars and a display of memorabilia regarding our local heritage. You will also be entertained by the Blackbutt Singers over the day. From 8am to 2pm come and enjoy the atmosphere, pick up a bargain and learn a bit of our history.

 Water Colour Classes with Dot Rowland:

Classes run from 9 - 12 on Monday mornings bookings are essential.

Workshops: Regular workshops are held in both lifestudy and portraiture. Weekly art classes are available on Wednesday's 10am - 1pm and 6.30 - 9.30pm, Thursday 10am - 1pm. Bookings are essential. Ph. Garry on (07) 41636977.
